About Sakthiya

I strongly believe education is empowering and I strive to ensure that my students develop a love of learning and gain the skills necessary to become independent life-long learners and successful individuals. This means that I work hard to plan and deliver lessons that are interactive, engaging and insightful. Also, allowing learners to reflect upon their own progress and take ownership of their own development. I have outstanding classroom practice and possess the ability to secure high levels of pupil interest in lessons by incorporating creative activities to add an extra dimension to pupils’ exploration of subjects. Pupils respond enthusiastically to the opportunities I present them via the interactive board. I use various formative techniques such as thumbs up/ thumbs down, mini whiteboards and multiple-choices questions. In addition, I use partner talks, independent work and summative assessments to further enhance the knowledge in pupils by using a range of learning styles and inspire my students.
